LITHUANIA – basic information about the school
Alytaus Panemunes Progymnasium (Alytaus Panemunes pagrindine mokykla till September, 2018) started its work in 1988.
School mission:
We provide the qualitative pre – school education, primary education (1 – 4 forms), lower basic education (5 – 8 forms), informal educiation programs for children in an open – minded, safe and modern school environment.
Our school values are safety, respect, national identity, creativity, responsibility, openness for changes, community.

Calendar
Our students are active participants of different cultural events and contests taking place in our town. The school students take part in Lithuanian National Song and Dance Festivals as well as achieve high results participating in variuos sports competitions organised locally, regionally and nationally. Several times our school was awarded the title of the sportiest school in our town.
School has a well – equipped library which has become not only the information centre but learning and teaching place as well. Since ten years the project “The Week of Northern countries in libraries” which aims at promoting reading as well as reading aloud and getting to know the literature of Northern countries, has become a tradition.
The school aims our students to be aware of the environmental issues as well. The Earth Day activities have been organized at our school for a long time. Our students participate in Litter Clean Up Days and Collect Waste Weeks too.
